Melanocytes in the epidermis layer produce melanin for the skin, eyes, and hair. Additionally, they absorb UV radiation to protect cells from sun damage. While melanin helps to protect the skin abnormal melanin production can cause skin diseases. Currently, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, and cosmetics are interested in natural extract. Consequently, there is a trend to explore agriculture by-products such as corn silk. This research aims to study the antioxidant, cell viability, melanin production, and anti-inflammatory in the B16F10 melanoma cell line when stimulated with Corn Silk Extract and In silico. The result shows Corn Silk Extract has shown antioxidant, cytotoxicity at a concentration of 10%, anti-inflammatory, and can also reduce melanin in B16F10 cells at a concentration of 0.3%-1.25%. The analysis of active compounds in Corn Silk Extract using LC-MS/MS found 6 compounds of interest that have the potential for inhibition of tyrosinase in melanogenesis. The result of molecular docking was found that tyrosinase and 6 active compounds can bind by hydrogen bonds. The researcher expects that these active compounds will promote the action of inhibition the melanogenesis.
2024-08-28T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat Universityhttps://li05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSAI/article/view/501Factors Related to Fatigue Level among Beauty Salon Workers in Mueang Si Kai Subdistrict, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province2024-06-15T17:42:45+07:00Chanyakarn Kokaphanchanyakarn.k@ubu.ac.th
This Descriptive Research aimed to determine fatigue level and factors related to fatigue level among beauty salon workers in Mueang Si Kai Subdistrict, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The study population 45 persons and study instrument were questionnaire, Rapid Entire Body Assessment Questionnaire (REBA) and Cornell Musculoskeletal Disorder Questionnaire (CMDQ). Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Kruskal-Wallis test and Chi-square. The study result relevance that most of beauty salon workers were female (62.22%), age more than 33 year olds (53.33%), body mass index were normal (37.78%), no congenital disease (91.11%), exercise lower than 3 times per week (62.23%), working hours more than 9 hours per day (55.56%), working days lower than 6 days per week (55.56%), break time lower than 4 hours per day (51.11%), working year more than 8 year (60.00%). Study of Ergonomics factors found that low risk level (x̅ = 0.38, S.D. = 0.46), study different of fatigue in body part by CMDQ questionnaire found no statically different. And study of factors related fatigue among beauty salon workers found that the ergonomics factors had statically significant at 0.05 with fatigue level among beauty salon workers (χ2= 15.616, p-value = 0.009) but other factors no statically significant.
2024-08-28T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat Universityhttps://li05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSAI/article/view/526A Preliminary Study Effect of Eupatorium capillifolium Crude Extracts on the Developmental Stages of Pomacea canaliculata (Golden Apple Snail)2024-07-22T14:59:10+07:00Nutcharin Kleawklanutch999@yahoo.comKittiyakorn Sanpannutcharin@go.buu.ac.th
The preliminary study aimed to assess the impact of the crude leaf extract of Eupatorium capillifolium on the embryonic development stages, egg hatchability, and mortality rate of juvenile and adult golden apple snails (Pomacea canaliculate). The experimental treatments consisted of a 20% (w/v) solution of E. capillifolium, compared to a control group using distilled water. The effect of the leaf plant extract on the development of embryos and the hatchability of eggs was evaluated by spraying the egg clutches with the crude leaf extract for 7 days. The embryo development and hatching rates of eggs were evaluated within 10 days after treatment. The mortality rate of juvenile and adult golden snails was determined after being treated with 20% plant crude extract for 24 hours and 7 days, respectively. The study found that a crude extract of 20% E. capillifolium significantly inhibited embryo development and decreased the hatchability of snail eggs by 23.34% and 76.66%, respectively, compared to the control group where the egg hatch rate was over 90%. In addition, a 20% aqueous leaf extract of E. capillifolium caused a 100% mortality rate for juvenile snails and a 46.67% mortality rate for mature snails, compared to zero mortality in the control group. Even though the preliminary study tested a concentration of 10% E. capillifolium on P. canaliculata (golden snails) and its effects on all development stages of the snails. The results indicated that an extract of Eupatorium capillifolium, specifically the leaf extract, has the potential to act as a molluscicide against P. canaliculata. Further research is needed to identify the specific molluscicide components present in E. capillifolium and their effectiveness and potential for developing molluscicides.

Keywords: golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculate); Dogfennel (Eupatorium capillifolium); Crude extract from Eupatorium capillifolium
2024-08-28T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat Universityhttps://li05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JSAI/article/view/483Food Contamination with Formalin: Dangers and Solutions2024-05-21T15:12:16+07:00Theeranat Suwanaruangdrtheeranat@gmail.comVayupak Bonkhamyupak32@gmail.com
This article provides information about the risks associated with formaldehyde contaminated food and formaldehyde in natural foods. which is important in choosing to consume food with confidence This is because formalin may have adverse effects on health. Consumption of contaminated formalin can cause allergies and food intolerances. and affects the body's immune system, such as asthma or inflammation of the respiratory system While formaldehyde in natural foods is generally safe and has health benefits, such as aiding digestion and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. For protection and management, We can choose to consume safe food. Read food labels carefully. and cook food in the proper way to reduce formalin levels Understanding the risks and value of formaldehyde in food can help us make confident food choices in our daily lives. People who have allergies or are at risk should consult a doctor or pharmacist for recommendations and appropriate management.
2024-08-28T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University
