การศึกษาการพิมพ์กัดสีบนผืนผ้าถักที่ผ่านการย้อมสีครามธรรมชาติ

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการพิมพ์กัดสีบนผืนผ้าฝ้ายถักที่ผ่านการย้อมสีครามธรรมชาติ โดยใช้ด่างทับทิม (โพแทสเซียมเปอร์แมงกาเนต) ร่วมกับแป้งพิมพ์ดินขาวเกาลินเป็นสารลอกสี และศึกษาปัจจัยสำคัญที่มีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพการกัดสีและคุณภาพของลวดลายพิมพ์ ได้แก่ อัตราส่วนของสารลอกสีต่อแป้งพิมพ์ อุณหภูมิและระยะเวลาในการอบแห้ง ตลอดจนความเข้มข้นและระยะเวลาในการแช่สารละลายล้างสารลอกสี (โซเดียมเมตาไบซัลไฟต์) แล้วจึงทดสอบความคงทนของสีและความแข็งแรงของผืนผ้าที่ผ่านกระบวนการพิมพ์ ผลการทดลองพบว่าอัตราส่วนสารลอกสีต่อแป้งพิมพ์ที่ 30:70 ถึง 50:50 ให้ค่าความสว่างสูงและค่าความเข้มของสีต่ำ แต่เมื่อเพิ่มสัดส่วนสารลอกสีสูงเกินไปกลับทำให้เกิดคราบแมงกานีสไดออกไซด์ตกค้างและค่าความขาวลดลงอย่างชัดเจน ในขณะที่อุณหภูมิและระยะเวลาในการอบแห้งที่ 100 องศาเซลเซียส เป็นเวลา 10 นาที ให้ค่าความขาวสูงสุด เนื่องจากเป็นจุดสมดุลระหว่างประสิทธิภาพการกัดสีกับการเกิดสีเหลืองเชิงความร้อนของเส้นใยเซลลูโลส และความเข้มข้นของสารละลายล้างสารลอกสีที่ 50 กรัมต่อลิตร ร่วมกับระยะเวลาแช่ 5 ถึง 10 นาที สามารถกำจัดคราบแมงกานีสไดออกไซด์ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและให้ค่าความขาวสูงที่สุด นอกจากนี้ผ้าที่ผ่านการพิมพ์กัดสียังมีความคงทนของสีต่อการซักล้างและน้ำในระดับดีถึงดีมาก แต่มีความคงทนต่อแสงในระดับปานกลางและความคงทนต่อการขัดถูในสภาวะเปียกต่ำกว่าสภาวะแห้ง ทั้งนี้ กระบวนการกัดสีด้วยด่างทับทิมยังส่งผลให้ความแข็งแรงต่อแรงดันทะลุของผืนผ้าบริเวณลวดลายลดลงประมาณร้อยละ 35.6 เมื่อเทียบกับบริเวณพื้นสีคราม อันเนื่องมาจากปฏิกิริยาออกซิเดชันที่ทำลายโครงสร้างเซลลูโลสของเส้นใยฝ้ายควบคู่ไปกับการทำลายสีย้อม ผลการศึกษานี้จึงเป็นแนวทางสำคัญสำหรับการพัฒนากระบวนการพิมพ์กัดสีบนผ้าถักย้อมครามธรรมชาติให้ได้ลวดลายที่มีคุณภาพและสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ต่อไป
