Factors Affecting Rearing Preschool Children of Grandparents Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

This research is a descriptive research in cross-sectional study Objectives: 1) To study the parenting of preschool children of grandparents chaiyaphum province 2) To study the knowledge of parenting for preschool children of grandparents chaiyaphum province 3) To study the attitude toward parenting of preschool children of grandparents chaiyaphum province 4) To study social support toward parenting of preschool children of grandparents, chaiyaphum province 5) To study relationship between personal factors namely gender, age, educational level, average monthly income, relationship in family, knowledge of parenting for preschool children, Attitudes towards parenting of preschool children and social support and parenting for preschool children of grandparents, chaiyaphum province 6) factors prediction of parenting behavior of preschool children of grandparents, Chaiyaphum province the sample group is grandparents, grandparents who are responsible for rearing preschool children. Multi-stage Random sampling, 390 people. Tools used in research are questionnaires consisting of six parts. Tool quality inspection by 6 experts to examine the content validity. and the appropriateness of the content (Content validity) Consistency Index (IOC) is equal 0.90. Knowledge of test the difficulty was 0.36 Discrimination 0.71 and confidence (Reliability) of the whole tool 0.954. Statistics used in data analysis descriptive statistics including the percentage (Frequency) average (Mean) Standard Deviation. Reference statistics using stepwise multiple regression analysis
The research results revealed that: The rearing preschool children the sample had a regular overall average score. (X̅=65.24, S.D.=8.63), In terms of knowledge about rearing Preschool Children The sample most examples, the overall score As 53.10 percentage Attitude towards rearing preschool children the sample had a total mean score at the agree level. (X̅=32.83, S.D.=2.68) family relationship were often graded averages score. (X̅=30.81, S.D.=4.20) Social support average of all aspects moderate score.
